== Fluids & Piping ==
Fluids are a distinct type of item that cannot be held in the player's inventory. They are transported using [[Pump|Pumps]] through a network of [[Pipe|Pipes]]. Liquids can only be placed into dedicated [[Container]] or into the fluid input slots of machines that require them for a recipe.

Different types of liquids cannot be mixed in the same container or pipe segment. Pipes carrying different liquids must not intersect. Connected pipes and containers of the same liquids form a shared network, whose status (content and fill level) can be checked by Right-Clicking on any pipe within it. Pipes of different tiers (e.g., copper and steel) will not connect to each other and can intersect without issue, even if they carry the same fluid.

All [[Resource|Resources]] behave similarly to liquids: they are transmitted through their own dedicated pipes (e.g. [[Heat Pipe]], [[Cable]]) and they can only be used by machines with the corresponding input port. But Resource lines can freely intersect with each other and with any fluid pipes without causing conflicts.
