Hotkeys

While convenient and quick to use, hotkeys provide access to functions that would otherwise be impossible to perform. There are three important groups of hotkeys: interface, player, and machines. Machines hotkeys only work when the crosshair is pointed at a specific machine.

Y	Toggle replace mode	Replace mode allows you to replace any compatible machines and blocks with the same or different tiers, and also hides block face outlines.
1-9	Select item on hotbar	In settings, you can add three additional hotbars using Shift, Ctrl, and Alt.
Tab	Command console	Includes catalog and research search, adding queries to favorites, and a calculator.

Player

Q	Pipette tool	In Creative mode, allows you to take the same block into your hand; outside Creative mode, it will take the block into your hand only if it is in your inventory.
