In the game, resources refer to various forms of energy that can be converted into one another and used to power certain machines. Each machine consumes only one type of resource, and its energy consumption is indicated both in its description and in the machine’s interface. Most machines operate significantly slower or may not function at all if their energy supply is insufficient. Energy converters, however, always operate at maximum efficiency regardless of the energy supply.
